Although most famous for his role as Fagin in Oliver!, he has starred in many other films including Mouse on the Moon, Murder Most Foul and The Twelve Chains. About Ron Moody

London born in 1924, actor Ron Moody studied at the LSE to become a sociologist but began appearing in entertainment shows and later became a professional actor relatively late in life.

Although famous for his award winning role of Fagin in the 1968 the film version of Oliver! but he has starred in many different film and television roles over the years. He was nominated for and won The Golden Globe for Best Actor, Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

He has made many films both in this country and in America, but it is for his role as Fagin, which he played on stage before being cast in the film version of Oliver!, that he will be best remembered.

Now mostly retired, Ron Moody has begun attending Memorabilia shows with Our Disappearing Planet and we are proud to have such a distinguished actor as a Supporter of the charity.
